Just listed on eBay this lovely and rare solid silver vesta case hallmarked Birmingham 1886(even though it has the date 1899 inscribed on the back), and I believe made by either John Hines or Joseph Hawkins, just make out the makers mark.

This silver vesta case has a nice rounded design to the lid and bottom the striker is on the side. The silver vesta case measures 58mm in length, 34mm wide and 13mm deep, weighs 23.5 grams.
The condition is pretty good but does have some bumps specifically the base, it has no splits and the lid closes fine.

I’m offering a heavy silver Fattorini pocket watch, the watch measures 53mm in diameter and weighs 137 grams.
The dial is in excellent condition, has one small hairline crack at 6 o’clock, can hardly be seen, also a very small chip at 2 o’clock, with the crystal closed you cannot see these minor flaws.
The dial has written on Watch & Chronometer Manufacturers Fattorini & Sons Bradford, the crystal is in good clear condition.

The case is engine decorated, with no monogram, the hinges are firm and close well, the back opens by pressing the button on top of the crown, it springs open, the inside has the lion passant, Chester mark and the date letter for 1902 plus F&S and the case serial number, these details are repeated on the dust cover.autifully ornate cock balance, the movement works, but is a erratic time keeper, the watch will go for in excess of 12 hours, but it will need a good service. The plates have inscribed Bradford Serial number 632868 and Fattorini & Sons.

This is a very nice pocket watch by Fattorini that with a good service will give many more years of satisfactory service, hope I’m going as well after 108 years!!!
