Silver Spoon and Fork Christening set.

June 4th, 2009 admin No comments

This silver fork and spoon set I believe was given as a Christening gift, the initials on each seems to be ASS, so certainly for the same person.
The fork was assayed in London 1920 made by Wakely and Wheeler it measures 14.5cm, the spoon was assayed in Sheffield dated 1919 and made by Charles William Fletcher, the combined weight is 49 grams.
The set comes in a good case.

June 4th, 2009 admin No comments

I believe this silver spoon and fork is a christening set, it’s essayed Sheffield dated 1910 and made by George Howson. The set comes in a good box with a nice finished interior, the spoon measures 14.3cm and the fork 15cm, the combined weight 42g.
The design is clean and simple, both items have initials, I think they are FPW or PFW.

June 3rd, 2009 admin No comments

Five super quality silver teaspoons with a simple fiddle design, they measure 14cm and each weigh 24g. The hallmarks show assayed in Sheffield 1837 just at the end of the beginning of the Victorian period. The makers mark shows PL that for that period is Patrick Leonard of Salford. all five spoons are in excellent condition and have cleaned up beautifully.
