Minikins by Wade

I was lucky to buy some of these really cute Minikins made by Wades so I had a look at their origins. It seems the Minikin were issued in three series, with four different shapes in each series, they were created from 1955-1958 modelled by William Harper.

The models are entirely covered in a white glaze, decorated on the bodies, with different coloured ears and six eye styles.
Amazingly the combination of eye expressions, ear colour and body decorations could make 48 styles of Minikins in each set.
Minikins are not marked and the original price was 1/- each.
