Silver Sugar Tongs Fiddler Design 1823
These silver sugar tongs have a plain fiddler design, hallmarked dated as 1823 and assayed in London. They are inexcellent condition with no repairs and only light wear, the marks are clear, but the makers make has faded, I believe it’s Hester Bateman. The top of the tongs has a crest that looks loke a cow or a goat.
They are 14cm long and weigh 45 grams.
